Wednesday 4 September 2024 – A consultation was announced today on updated proposals for Rosefield Solar Farm, a proposed solar farm with battery storage located between Buckingham and Aylesbury.
Feedback from the community and stakeholders at an earlier consultation, along with outputs of early environmental assessments and technical work, has helped to shape the updated proposals. Changes include a reduction of almost 40% in the area proposed for solar panels, a fivefold increase in the area set aside for nature, and larger offsets from nearby homes.
The consultation will run for eight weeks from Wednesday 18 September 2024, with a deadline for feedback of 11.59pm on Thursday 14 November 2024. Feedback from this stage of consultation will be used to refine proposals before Development Consent Order application is submitted.
EDF Renewables UK’s Director of Solar, Storage and Private Wire Matthew Boulton said,
“We are grateful to everyone who shared their views with us last year and we will continue to listen hard to the feedback we get from people on our proposals for Rosefield. I encourage everyone to get in touch, meet with us and share their views during consultation.”
As part of the consultation, members of the public are invited to a series of public exhibitions to meet with the team behind Rosefield and share their feedback. The exhibitions will take place at the following dates and locations:
Calvert Green Village Hall and Brickworx Bar, Cotswolds Way, Calvert MK18 2FJ
